"My Cornell" Video Contest
for undergraduates

The Sesquicentennial Steering Committee and the Department of Performing and Media Arts selected the winner of the “My Cornell” Video Contest.

My Cornell writing and video contest winners showcased their winning entries at the Sights and Sounds event as part of Charter Day Weekend, the culminating event celebrating Cornell's Sesquicentennial.


David Karp '16, American Studies, CAS. Winner for "myCornell: Timeless (From 16mm to the Digital Age)."
David Karp's video tracks the evolution of cinema and the exciting transformation of Cornell University alongside one another. It is a well-crafted piece of filmmaking and a fitting tribute to Cornell on its birthday.


About the Contest

The Sesquicentennial Steering Committee and the Department of Performing and Media Arts invited current Cornell undergraduates to submit a video on "My Cornell." The winning video was screened as part of Charter Day Weekend on April 24–27, 2015, the culminating event celebrating Cornell's Sesquicentennial. This contest offered an opportunity for the voices of current Cornell undergraduates to be part of this celebration.
